and some links regarding Harley-Davidson® stock. I guess the first thing one would need to know is that the ticker symbol for the stock is HDI. The stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. You can click here to go to Yahoo's charts etc. for HDI stock. As you can see by the following chart Harley stock has done very well since it's inception in 1987. Notice that it has split five times in the last 10 years!
What we have found most interesting about Harley stock is that they offer a free DRP (drip). The DRP stands for dividend reinvestment program, which means once you have joined the program they buy more stock with your dividends rather than send you a check (so your porfolio grows). But that's not all. The really cool part is that once you are in the DRP you can send them checks which they will use to buy more stocks for you and these checks can be as small as $30. That's what we like because we don't have excess money to throw around but we can usually dig up $30 a month to send in; and if you don't have $30 you don't have to send anything. You can always send more though, if you'd like. Up to $5,000 per year I believe. Click here to read an article from "The Motley Fool" regarding Harley stock which mentions their dividend reinvestment program. All it takes to get started in the DRP is to own one share of stock which can be purchased using the link below. Then get in touch with Computershare Investor Services (whom handles this stuff) and let then know you want to do the DRP thing. Here is their contact info:
